What this actually measures

One app, 37 storefronts

Most ASO tools grade the words in one storefront. This one asks Apple's public endpoint for the same app once per storefront and compares what comes back. Germany returns a different description than the US? Germany has its own localization. Same one? It doesn't. A fact, not a judgement.

The gap that costs downloads

Text and screenshots localize separately in App Store Connect, and they come apart constantly: translating a description is cheap, redrawing ten screenshots in Japanese is not. The result is translated text above English screenshots — and screenshots are what shoppers actually look at. That gap is this tool's most common finding.

Covered ≠ missing

Storefronts that already speak your listing's language count as covered, not missing — serving US English to the UK is not a localization gap. Separate UK copy still earns its point when you write it.

What it can't see

Apple exposes no subtitle or keyword field for any app — paste yours into the keyword field checker, and score any term with the free keyword check. For ~40% of apps Apple also withholds screenshots; those checks step aside and say so, and the report is marked partial rather than scoring data nobody has.

No AI, no artwork opinions

Every line in the report traces to a public Apple field and a stated rule, with the evidence attached. Deductions are ranked by the points they cost, not by how alarming they sound — and anything that couldn't be checked is shown as a gap, never quietly passed.

Privacy: the audit runs in your browser and reads your listing from itunes.apple.com. For the current screenshots — Apple's endpoint can serve a set months older than your live page, and browsers can't read the page itself — the app ID and country pass through a small Storeboard relay that fetches your public App Store page and returns only its screenshot links. It stores nothing and sees nothing but those two public values. The optional screenshot-copy review downloads its text-recognition engine from this site only when you click it; screenshots are read locally, never uploaded. Privacy policy.
