We're a small team and we read everything. Email development@digitalsauce.io — include your macOS version and, if it's a bug, what you did right before it happened.

Getting started

How do I start a project?

From the Home screen pick one of the three tiles: Quick Start (drop your app icon, describe the app in a sentence, and Storeboard writes a caption for every screen — or a full listing with keywords via "Generate everything"), Start from scratch (an empty canvas), or Explore a sample (a finished demo project to poke around).

How do I get my screenshots into the device frames?

Drag an image onto any device on the canvas, or copy a screenshot and press ⌘⇧V. Pan and zoom the image inside the frame from the inspector, and use the grid view (All) to arrange every screen at once.

How does the free on-device AI work?

On Macs with Apple Intelligence (Apple silicon, macOS 26+), captions, listings, and translations run entirely on your machine — free and private. Enable it in System Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri; Storeboard's setup walkthrough (in Settings) guides you through it. Apple's model occasionally declines certain phrasing — if that happens, Storeboard falls back to templates and tells you why.

Can I use my own AI key instead?

Yes. Open Settings (⌘,) and add an API key from your provider (for example Anthropic Claude or Google Gemini). Your key is stored in your macOS Keychain, requests go directly from your Mac to the provider, and we never see them. A frontier model generally writes sharper, more reliable copy than the on-device model.

Keywords & localization

Where do the keyword numbers come from?

Popularity, Difficulty, and Opportunity are estimates built from Apple's public signals (autocomplete and public search results) — not Apple's private search-volume data. They're directional guidance: great for comparing terms and spotting gaps, not a guarantee of rankings.

How does localization work?

Design your screens once, then switch language in the toolbar to write or translate per-locale captions and listing fields. "Translate all" fills every enabled locale in one pass, and Export renders every locale at Apple's exact pixel sizes.

Export

What sizes does it export?

Storeboard exports each device at Apple's exact required screenshot sizes, and renders every enabled language in a single pass — so what you export is ready to upload as-is.

Projects & data

Where are my projects stored? Are they uploaded anywhere?

Locally, in the app's container on your Mac — never uploaded. Use Save to File… to export a portable .asoproj you can back up or move between Macs.

Feature requests

Send them! Storeboard ships fast — most of the app you're using came from user feedback. Email development@digitalsauce.io.
